Greater Efficiency

Drones can inspect the structural integrity, locks, ladders, documents hardware conditions, and hatches of the exterior of the tower much more efficiently. Since the tower can be inspected much faster than with traditional methods and the need to use scaffolding and ropes is eliminated, the savings in time and money is significant. With speed and lower cost, more frequent inspections can be scheduled to identify problems earlier.

Data Collection/Modeling 

Using photos and videos captured by drones, a 3-D model can be created for engineers and architects to assess the tower’s integrity, identify potential issues such as corrosion, structural damage, and coating degration, and plan for maintenance or modifications remotely. 

Safety

With aerial inspections the need to climb a water tower, which can be precarious for workers, is eliminated.
